Writing on the Wall
By Jill Phillips

It's amazing how evidently God shows Himself to us in the valleys.

Collin visited last weekend and we had so much fun! I think being with him is just what I needed! I am so impressed with the man he is becoming.  If you want a run down on what we did last weekend, visit his site! (Cbump9224)

Wrecking Ball

Just when my tears were falling deep enough to drown
Down in the valley of a shadow of a doubt
When I gave up, that's when He came to lift me up and set me high
When I saw it as a gift of matchless worth
I started thinking it was something I deserved
He pulled a rope from underneath without a word
and left me dry, yeah

So piece together these little mysteries
It isn't hard to see the writing on the wall
Triumph in tragedy
Only God can be both the builder and the wrecking ball

He gave them freedom and a fertile promised land
They took for granted their deliverance at hand
39 years later they're still walking through that sand
wonderin why, why

So piece together these little mysteries
It isn't hard to see the writing on the wall
Triumph in tragedy
Only God can be both the builder and the wrecking ball

He builds it up
and he knocks it down
just to build it up even stronger

So... back to school after a wonderful break! But I must say, this weather sure beats the snow I had over break! 80 degrees and sunny!

Trev and I had a great weekend when he came home last week.  *sigh* I'm like a sappy little girl... but he sure is wonderful! And the best part about it all is how evidently God has been working on all this for our whole lives.  The time together as well as the time apart have served His purpose... even through our weaknesses and inadequacies.  It is in our weakness that we see God's strength.

Mom and Emily are coming down tomorrow!!! I'm looking forward to a great weekend with them! Then a few days of class before Trevor comes to visit next weekend! And then only 3 days until Collin flies down! This has been the semester of visitors! And I couldn't be more happy!

"Though you have not seen Him, you Love Him;
and even though you do not see Him now,
you b e l i e v e in Him
and are filled with an  i n e x p r e s s i b l e  and glorious JOY!"
1 Peter 1:8

Yay for being HOME!

I picked Trevor up from the airport on Saturday as he was returning from a mission trip to Ireland.  I love him so much... every time I see him it leaves me missing him more than before.  He had a great trip and God really used him, as is His way!

Spring break is great, minus the snow and sickness.

I love my family and my home and relaxing and yummy food and my brothers and sister, and laying around all day.  It's great!

I love how God always provides exactly what I need.

well, this is the first time in a LONG time I've been on this xanga world! I was talking about it this weekend and thought I might check it... and lo and behold, I had 3 comments! So I guess this site isn't as dead as I had thought!

This weekend was such an enexpected blessing! I was planning on (since the summer) to go to Winterfest in Gatlinburg with the teenagers at YES this weekend, but I think God had other plans! I had a hard week last week with  my MS.. nothing too major, except the fear that it would get much worse.  After the first half of the most crazy and busy semester of my life, it's no wonder me health decided to flare up... I think sometimes that's God's way of making me slow down and breathe Him in.  Anyway, long story short, I decided not to go this weekend so that I could get rest instead of almost none at Winterfest! And then my mom decided it would be a good weekend for her to come down and "take care of me!" I'll never pass up some pampering from my momma! So she came Friday and left this morning... it was such a wonderful, needed, and relaxing weekend! PLUS I got 2 new pairs of shoes and yummy food alll weekend!   That may sound simple to anyone not in college, but for any college kid far away from home, you know exactly how wonderful that can be!  So today is a new, refreshing day with which to look God in the face with a big Thank You!  His faithfulness never fails.

Bought Collin a plane ticket to come see me over his spring break in April! That'll be good times!

Today marks the beginning of "Facing HUnger Week" here at Lipscomb...Pi Kappa Sigma is leading this week and I know that God is doing great things through it!

Time to go to YES... after 5 days off, I actually feel ready to go back... with energy and patience that I have been recently lacking.

Also, I went to see Trevor last weekend, which was just amazing.  I love him so much.  Just another way God has chosen to send His blessings!

I hope and pray you're having a wonderful monday!

"Do you
           know what you
                        are getting yourself into?

I'm getting into You, because you got to me in a way words can't describe.

I'm gonna love you with my life.

He said, "I love you and that's what you are getting yourself into.'"

I'm home for a few weeks and it's wonderful! It's amazing how much time has passed since I've spent much time at home.  I'm just realizing the very simple fact that time spend somewhere else (in my case, Nashville and Charlotte) is that much time missing out on other things (such as home).  That stinks because it's a lose-lose situation. Or a win-win... however I choose to look at it.  I know that it is all because of God. His power and direction never fail... and He never fails to amaze me.

Sorry it's been so long... no one probably checks this site anymore.. and I wouldn't blame you.  But i love you all nonetheless and I pray that Christmas finds you at peace and with the type of love I am surrounded by!
